Visit Annapolis!

Main Street

Annapolis is Maryland’s historic capital and is known as the sailing capital of the world.  I know it as the historic area on the water that terrified me when I first learned to drive.  Lots of one-way streets and traffic circles to navigate, along with the dreaded parallel parking issues!  Well, it’s been years since I took my driving test (more than I care to admit, actually) and I’ve overcome my fear of one-way streets (of which there aren’t too many), traffic circles (way better than four-way stops) and parallel parking (try THAT in an SUV on a tight circle – I did and succeeded).  I see Annapolis as a wonderful place to shop, dine, and explore.

Take advantage of this gem in the heart of our state (if you’re a Maryland resident, that is).  Plan a trip to Annapolis – a day trip or a long weekend – and see what this charming city has to offer.  Schedule a cruise of the beautiful Severn River out of the city dock; stay in a bed and breakfast; dine in a tavern or a trendy restaurant (or somewhere in between); eat homemade ice cream; shop till you can’t shop any more!  Just do it.  You’ll be glad you did!
